What was the starting point?
The bank operates a branch network across multiple countries and follows a common HR approach with its group companies. Leave requests, overtime and timesheets were tracked with different tools, and managers could not see approvals and their teams' status in one place. The bank needed to consolidate leave and time data in a single cloud landscape and connect it with recruiting, performance and learning processes.
How was the project carried out?
The conceptual design for Time Off was prepared together with group managers, then refined through configuration test iterations and user acceptance testing; go-live took place in phases. Leave quotas were loaded into the system and reconciled, and rules were defined allowing managers to approve based on shift checks.
The timesheet application and its integration with other systems were set up; approval notifications were developed for overtime requests and shift changes. Role-based permissions and country-specific permission reports were prepared.
Which other processes were added?
An e-recruiting application was implemented and customized on on-premise SAP; self-service applications such as the employee information card, income report and timesheet screens were reorganized. On the SuccessFactors side, reporting and system support was provided for performance, succession planning and learning processes; a single sign-on configuration simplified user access.
Where do things stand today?
Leave, timesheet and talent processes run on the same cloud platform. Ongoing support covers quota updates, annual performance cycle reports, permission adjustments and requests for new countries.
Assessment
In banking, leave and time data matter for both operations and audit. Clarifying leave rules and approval logic with group and country managers during conceptual design is the step that saves the most time after go-live.
